Topic: Can't restrict access to static pages that use other plugins - ex:WPG2

Message: The problem is that some plugin authors don't know what they are doing and are echoing when using a filter. Which means that other plugins cannot filter their output. Use another plugin or have the offending plugin author fix their issues.

Topic: Can't restrict access to static pages that use other plugins - ex:WPG2

Message: I'm having the same problem. I did try the development version, but that didn't work. Is there a work-around that doesn't involve modifying the other plugin (in my case a basic forum)? I'm concerned that an update to the other plugin will break the page restriction.what can I do?

Topic: exclude a subscriber from the restricted page?

Message: Hello - Am wondering if there is a simple way to exclude just one subscriber from seeing my restricted page... I think I can work around it if not but it'd be handy! Am currently using v. 1.6 of the plugin and v. 2.8.0 of WP. Thanks in advance. The plugin works great!

Question on including php call function in restrict message in WordPress Plugins : Page Restrict

Topic: Question on including php call function in restrict message

Message: Hello and great plugin! Thanks.A question...Using Page Restrict version 1.6 on Wordpress 2.8, at our site www.PathInsight.com, we're using the Page Restrict plugin to restrict users from assessing certain pages until they register.Since it's just users registering and we were using a customized version of the SimpleLogin plugin (so they can stay a part of the site and not go to the Wordpress main sign in page and get additional information about them), we want them to keep using that method of login....but that login works best as a widget in a sidebar or hardcoded into the template (but we do not have room for a login there). It's just a simple php call function.Ideally, we'd like like that login to be on the restricted pages - just like the Page Restrict login box does if we check that box. Their code did not work in the Page Restrict message, so we worked around it by having the Page Restrict message page direct the user to a Login page. That works but would look better if it could be hard coded into the template. Plus, of course, we'd prefer it as part of the page restrict message....so, this long explanation was to provide the details & to ask if there's anyway to get the Simple Login php call function to show up on the actual Page Restricted page so the user could login from there. Thanks!

Topic: Restriction Message Not Allowing URLs

Message: I am guessing this is a simple issue and is due to a lack of my knowledge of HTML. I appreciate your help and love the plug-in.I am trying to link to other parts of my website in the Restriction Message area by using this code:
Code:<a href="http://www.abc.com">
but the plug-in is changing the code to:
Code:<a href=\"http://www.abc.com\">
I have tried a few other ways to make quotes, but nothing has worked.Thoughts? Thanks so much.

Topic: Login form-effect of a login mistake

Message: HiThe plugin is great. I like the login form on the web page and everything works fine IF the user enters the correct user name and password.BUT if they make a mistake, the WordPress page jumps to the 'normal' WordPress login page and the login error is shown.Any thoughts on how to keep everything on the original WordPress page?TedBTW, once logged in they are automatically switched back to where they started (or is that because I use a redirect plugin?).

Topic: Can this plugin restrict comments on restricted pages aswell?

Message: It is OK now! Comments are now hidden! I've downloaded it like half an hour ago! I hope it's the last version! Btw. the theme I use is Fusion! (Honestly, I didn't know that comments on pages are theme specific features. - I'm new to WordPress.)Question:Do you plan to implement something like "Widget Restrict Plugin"??Example, I use NextGEN Gallery and widget that shows random pictures is shown to unregistered user too. I want to hide them. :)I would like to hide some other widgets too. Like the default Text widget. Is this posible for you? I haven't had time to get into WP code to write plugins alone couse I use WP for a week now. :PThx for this plugin!

Topic: Can this plugin restrict comments on restricted pages aswell?

Message: To be honest I'd not really anticipated this. most of my testing is done using the default theme which does not include comments on pages. This is fairly easy and has been committed as a development version to the wp.org repo. The changes restrict the comment form from displaying as well as hiding existing comments until logged in.I have had numerous changes in the development version for some time now. Read the readme.txt file in the download to see the changes...there are quite a few.Link to the development version: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/pagerestrict.zipAfter you test out these changes I'll probably release it soon. Let me know how it works out. By the way, I would wait until about 9PM EST before downloading the development version to make sure that the recent changes are included in that download.
