Message: This functionality requires at least WordPress 2.7.It may be best to look for a plugin to handle your situation. Perhaps see http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/maintenance-mode/

Topic: wordpress Maintenance page

Message: Hi,I found these 2 articles that seem to be easy... buthttp://sivel.net/2009/06/wordpress-main … -a-plugin/and http://sivel.net/2009/06/wordpress-main … in-part-2/For some reason it doesn't work for me.I'm fairly new at Wordpress. My question is: what version of wordpress are these articles good for. We are using wordpress 2.3.2 and when I check in the wp-settings.php file, I don't find any reference for .maintenance.we want to put the maintenance page up so that we can move our site to another server that will contain a more recent version of wordpress.we want to put a maintenance page up during this period. Can someone help? Please adviseThank YouJohn
